XML, or Extensible Markup Language promises to become the standard for data interchange on the internet. This excellent article, written by Gus Bjorklund of Progress Software, gives a great introduction into what XML is all about. Progress is expected to introduce 4GL support for reading and writing XML documents in version 9.1 due in the 1st Quarter of 2000.
